This program requires an application to HCCC and a separate application to the Radiography Program.

Students must have a current professional license or certificate with documentation of education for potential award of 24 credits in this professionally restricted degree.

This is a partner program with Rutgers. Admission to the clinical component at Rutgers is a separate process. Declaring an OTA major at HCCC does not guarantee acceptance to the Rutgers component of the degree. Positive felony criminal background check may prohibit or limit ability to sit for National exam and obtain a state license. Student Malpractice Insurance, CPR Certification and proof of health insurance are also required. Must have proof of US citizenship/qualified alien status. Admission is competitive. This a joint program with Jersey City Medical Center/Emergency Medical Services. A valid EMT Certificate is required for admissions along with a valid driver’s license. Student must be 18 years or older. A complete criminal background check is required.

Students must receive medical clearance from their personal physician. May need a clear criminal background check and immunizations depending upon internship site. This is the student’s responsibility.

By selecting Nursing A.S., please note that this is a competitive admissions program. You must meet the admissions criteria listed here, and will be placed into the Medical Science Pre-Professional program in order to complete pre-requisites/application requirements prior to formal acceptance in the Nursing A.
